7Ws Saturday

  • When:  Saturday, May 18, 5-8 pm
    • Future 7Ws gatherings will be on June 29, September 28, and October 26
  • Where:  Grace Chapel Adult Learning Center (2 Militia Drive, Room 205, Lexington, MA)
  • What:  Our periodic gathering to encourage each other in our commitment to extend the kingdom of heaven to earth, learn more about microfinance and ways we can be involved in serving our microfinance partners, and enjoy great fellowship.  A potluck dinner is part of the evening so come with your specialty from the kitchen (or the grocery store!).  PEER Kids - a children's program teaching our children about following Jesus, microfinance, and other parts of the world, is available for children aged 4-12.  Childcare is provided for children younger than 4 years of age.

Moldova Invest Credit Luncheon and Community Reception - Eugene, OR

  • When:  Friday, May 10, Noon - 1:15 pm (Lunch) and 5:00 - 7:30 pm (Reception)
  • Where:  Lunch - Boulevard Grill (2123 Franklin Boulevard, Eugene, OR) and Community Reception (Quackenbush Building Basement, 160 East Broadway Street, Eugene, OR)
  • What:  A great opportunity to meet the folks tied to Invest Credit, one of Moldova's leading microfinance organizations.  Ghena Russu, Invest Credit Executive Director, and Todd Engelsen, PEER Servants President, will be speaking on "How Microfinance Alleviates Poverty" at the luncheon.  The cost of the luncheon is $20; tickets can be bought online (click here) or at the door (please email us to RSVP).  The Community Reception is free and will be a more informal environment to meet the folks involved with Moldovan microfinance.  Refreshments will be served.

Walk for Economic Empowerment - Boston (Wakefield), MA

  • When:  Saturday, June 1, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
  • Where:  Lake Quannapowitt (1 Church Street, Wakefield, MA)
  • What:  A Walk focused on empowering the materially poor by raising funds for ten indigenous Christian microfinance institutions serving over 150,000 clients.  100% of the funds raised will go to these institutions.  Click here for more information, set up your own fundraising page, or to support one of the walkers..
  • Who:  Everyone is welcome.
  • Cost:  There is a $20 registration fee for the Walk, which is waived if you have collected at least $200 by the Walk.  A T-Shirt, refreshments, music, and recreation will be provided.
